Now for a long overdue entry, lol. Wow, it's been almost a month since I've blogged! I'll try to blog more often, but I'm really busy right now, so I'm not sure how often I'll have the chance.
Let's see... Last week, we helped out a lot with hurricane victims here in Houston. A local church about ten minutes from here is serving as a shelter, so we helped out a lot there over the weekend. For Labor Day, we had John's family over as well as another family we're good friends with. Their son, Andrew, is in the Army Reserves and just gotback from Basic a couple of weeks ago. They had thought he might get deployed to Egypt soon, but thankfully if he does, he should be here a few months first. We all had a lot of fun Monday. We had a jam session in our backyard, consisting of three guitars, a fiddle, and John playing banjo or mandolin(not at the same time, of course).
Saturday, we're going to a bluegrass festival in Houston, then we have folk dancing that night. John, Katie and Anna are going to the bluegrass festival too. We're only taking one car, and my family doesn't want to stay as long as I do, so I'm staying with John and his sisters, going to their house for dinner afterwards, then meeting up with my family at dance. We did that two years ago too, and it was a lot of fun :) Saturday is also my sister Sarah's birthday, which we're celebrating tonight.
We've got another camping trip coming up in November! I can't wait. Back in April, after the last one, November seemed so far away. I can't believe how close it is now! Most of the same people are going again, so we'll have the same group of us young people. Us girls are hoping the guys will tell us scary stories again :) We're already planning on staying up really late talking around the campfire again. That was so much fun last time!

Due to some problems I'm having with Greymatter. I decided to scratch that and just do this myself. It's easier than fighting with Greymatter 
As you can see, I got the site moved! Thank you so much to Elisabeth for hosting me!
I'll be copying all the old entries over to here and closing down the old site soon, but I've been working on stuff on the computer most of the day, so my poor brain needs a break for a little while before it breaks.
